It’s massively liberating when you give yourself permission to go ahead and shop as the other gender. As it so happens—and you may have heard of this—there is quite a bit of fashion out there for women.

As I’m taking my forays into my non-binary identity, I’ve done everything I can to keep my purchases relatively inexpensive. Even still, I’ve spent a decent amount of money.

But I have expensive tastes. Like when I just browse to see what I’d like to try.

Examples? Well, I do think that Zoya’s nail polish is about the best there is. At least for me, it’s just bomb-proof. The colours are so vibrant, too.

Then there’s clothing. I love the Nordstrom app even though it’s kind of out of my league while I’m getting on my feet in my new home. But some of their brands are fantastic. The same with Macy’s, though their app frustrates me.

Free People? They’re great. But it’s BCBGeneration and BCBGMAXAZRIA that really have my attention. I’m wearing a nice cami top and skirt from Generation at the moment, and they’re just lovely. MAXAZRIA has some dresses that I would seriously love to have. Though I would need a second job to keep up. Maybe if they ever have some kind of shopping spree contest. I’d be a size 10 or 12, BCBG friends.

I need to remain realistic at this point, since I’m not wearing some of the more feminine pieces I have out of my apartment. But I like the direction all of this is going.

Even if my wallet purse doesn’t.
